If you want to see the limits of building with LEGO pushed in ways that have they have never been pushed before, Brickworld Chicago is the place. DENLUG members traveled 1000 miles to participate in this epic event – and some even brought home an award!

A huge thanks to DENLUG member Nikki Malone Daniels for organizing DENLUG’s appearance (with our friends CoWLUG) at the show! Representing all the way in Illinois were DENLUG members Royce C, Larry L, Ken H, Moto, Mike M, Matt H, Bailey M, Elliott, Ralph C, Roger S, Beth D, and Marc U. At the show, several members were nominated for awards, and one member brought an award home!

Ken, Randy, Erin, Nikki, Kathy, Larry, Noah, Heather, and Roby – Best Large Group Layout Nominee, with their expansive and beautifully lit Ghostbusters Afterlife build
Elliott L. – Best Star Wars Nominee, with an incredible scene featuring the 501st Legion
Marc U. – Best Artwork Nominee, a gorgeous look at Mt. Fuji, with an X-Wing doing a fly-by!
Larry L. – Best Small Group Layout Winner with his group’s expertly detailed X-Men comic cover recreations!! Larry’s contribution is the middle panel, featuring Wolverine, Cyclops, and some crazy greebling.
